Today the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 got a 12MB Patch (1.4.382).
All akimbo crosshairs and recoil are bigger than before and doesnt shrink as much in crouch/prone. No fire rate change of akimbo overall, comes with the DLC support patch later. CM901 with underbarrel attachment now shoots at normal fire rate (650rpm). ACR red dot+underbarrel is now properly aligned. All shotguns except the Striker now has 8 pellets. The Type-95 probably has bigger hipfire spread now since it was in same patch as CM901.
New shotgun analysis if damage is unchanged: USAS 25-5 x8 long range, slow full auto with longer sprint and clip reload. KSG 28-15 x8 medium range, pump action with big ammo capacity. SPAS 25-5 x8 long range, pump action with longer range for when damage drop starts. AA12 15-5 x 8 short range, fast full auto with clip reload. Striker 25-15? or 20-10? x6 medium range, semi-auto with big ammo capacity. Model 1887 30-20 x8 long range, lever action with no attachments.
NEW changes: USAS-12 now looks very good, with longer sprint and as strong as SPAS with shorter clip reload. KSG is now also better than SPAS in ammo capazity and damage, but lacks a little in max range. SPAS is now probably second worst next to AA12 with the only advantage of max range that is shared with USAS and Model 1887 and a relativly long max damage range before drop off starts. AA12 is no different from before, with low range and 3 steps worse hipfire, neither is Model 1887, that has 1 step worse hipfire. The Striker is at a 2 pellet disadvantage, and might have a slight damage nerf. (perhaps 20-10 instead of 25-15). Model 1887 is still the best pump action, but doesnt have extended mags or grip.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the next chapter in the best-selling Call of Duty first-person shooter action series. Not only does the game contain classic Call of Duty multi-character control, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 contains deep multiplayer support, including two-player co-op Survival mode. The game will also contain all-new kill streak categories and customizable strike packages that offer you more options to find the style that fits you best.
Activision has just recently come upon their best news yet. By using a service called Charttrack and through retail customer sell-through information, Modern Warfare 3 has sold 6.5 million units and more than $400 million in sales of Call of Duty alone. With over 13,000 stores from the UK and the United states having done midnight openings, the hype started early and will most likely continue.
Day 1 Studios - The shooter market is definitely a saturated one, rife with derivative titles that rarely buck any trends. But every so often, a title comes along that does things a little bit differently. F.E.A.R. 3 is one such game. A horror and gore-inspired romp, F.E.A.R. 3 approaches the conventions of first-person shooters from a different perspective and successfully mixes together familiar gameplay elements with a unique and authentically chilling setting. F.E.A.R. 3 isn't without its problems, and these problems stop it from being a top echelon shooter. Still, its tendency to go off the beaten path is largely successful and will appeal to shooter fans and horror aficionados alike.

The latest chapter in a saga of incidents between EA's Origin and Valve's Steam, Joystiq is reporting that DICE's Battlefield 3 may not be distributed through Steam. The report says a page on the Battlefield 3 website was published with a list of digital distributors, and while several third parties were listed, Steam was noticeably absent from the list. The move may be interpreted by some as an effort to increase Origin's user base by offering exclusive titles. That theory is at least partially true, with EA announcing recently that Mass Effect 3's PC Deluxe Edition will be an Origin-only exclusive.

UbiSoft - FarCry 3 will take the series out of Africa and back to a tropical island, Ubisoft has announced.
The game will be developed for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 by Ubisoft Montreal with help from Ubisoft Shanghai and Massive Entertainment. A release is pencilled for 2012. In Far Cry 3, gamers are Jason Brody, "a man alone at the edge of the world". He's stranded on a "mysterious" tropical island; a "savage paradise where lawlessness and violence are the only sure thing". You'll forge alliances and make enemies. You'll "slash, sneak and shoot". And the choices you make will shape the story and the outcome of the game. A demo at Ubisoft's E3 press conference showed a more physical, brutal take, with violent melee attacks complementing the open-ended gunplay. Knife throwing and a sticky cover system also featured in the demo, which retained the Heart of Darkness influence that Far Cry 2 introduced.
GFE's Elite Squad earns a seed in the European Professional Circut
To much of the anticipated delight of the Global operations division here at GFE, our black ops squad rolled over some of the worlds biggest names to steal a seed in the prestigious ESL Major Series Online Competition.
Representative teams from Countries all over Europe have been engaged in nail biting qualifying rounds all month, and to earn a seed in this prestigious event is a great achievement in this clans history.
Congratulations to the starting five for making it this far, we're all supporting you in your journey to the top.
Crytek and Electronic Arts released the new Crysis 2 multiplayer demo onto Xbox LIVE and the PC this morning. Now a video has been released showing off the maps, game modes, classes and weapons that are available.
Those that have already played in the Crysis 2 multiplayer betas on the PC and Xbox 360 should be familiar with the 'Skyline' map. Crytek added 'Pier 17' to the mix with the multiplayer demo released today. Just as you can imagine, it is set on destroyed boat parking area in New York City and players will be battling across wrecked boats and docks for supremacy.
The two game modes of Team Instant Action and Crash Site return as well as does the five classes of Gunner, Sniper, Scout, Assault and Custom plus ten weapons.
Crysis 2 is set to be released on April 18 to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. A PS3 demo is planned for later.
